The official opening of Walmer Plaza and the reopening of Walmer Street Bridge was held 21 March 2024, the key public realm contribution now delivers a significant piece of civic infrastructure for the wider Victoria Gardens precinct and the residents who utilise the bridge.

The area is a place for community connection and engagement, and a symbol of Salta’s 30-year commitment to creating urban revitalisation and placemaking in the inner-city neighbourhoods of Richmond and Abbotsford.
